Pedestrian Traffic Coating Systems
are typically installed on ramps, walkways, and both large
and small decks within complexes. The coating system has
to be waterproof, but does not require the durability of
a vehicular coating system.
Unlike vehicular coating sytems, pedestrian deck coating
systems are often applied over wood, and require special
detailing at the plywood seams and other penetrations.
In some cases, the elastomeric coating system with a sand
mixture is used to create slope in the deck to move water
that is ponding in a certain area, or direct water towards
a drain.
Pedestrian coating systems are also available in a wide
variety of standard colors to give owners and occupants
more choices for matching the coating with the existing
colors of theri structure. |
