President / Project Management
Mike Urban joined with his brothers during high
school to form the Urban Bros. Painting company. He then left
behind a thriving painting business to attend the University
of Southern California, where he graduated with honors, earning
a degree in Accounting. Mike spent the next several years with
the accounting firm, Ernst & Whinney, and while there, earned
his license as a Certified Public Accountant.
In 1983, Mike returned to Urban Bros. Painting
to help build and expand the business, growing a company that
today employs over 100 painters, and is one of the most reputable
commercial painting contractors in the Bay Area.
In 1996, Urban Bros. Painting, Inc. purchased
an established waterproofing company, and created Urban Waterproofing.
Mike was chosen to run the new company, where he now serves
as president, oversees all corporate finances, and manages the
larger, more complex projects. Mike’s professional goal
is to make Urban Waterproofing the premier waterproofing company
in the Bay Area, in the same manner as the Urban brother’s
painting company.
Mike lives with his wife Julie, and two children
in Mill Valley. He is an avid cyclist, and outdoors person.
